Baby
Floreen...
...is
a girl! Matt had thought so all
along, but Rachel was somewhat surprised
by this revelation. So much for
motherly intuition! Needless to
say, we are both extremely excited about
this little girl and look forward to
meeting her around August
21st!
Ministry and
Church Updates
We’ve
seen so many amazing things happen over
the past few months that we can only
summarize them in this newsletter!
We’re bringing lots of stories back, and
can’t wait to share them with
you.
Rachel has
been...
*
Leading two Bible studies with ladies
from the church on the book of 1 Peter.
*
Leading a Bible study for the Junior
women at African Bible College
*
Teaching a 6 week seminar on the basics
of biblical counseling for the ladies of
the church.
Matt
has been...
*
Helping fill the pulpit during Pastor
Brian’s absence
*
Leading youth group through a book of the
Bible each week, and teaching a youth
camp on the Gospel
*
Organizing Sunday events and
admin.
*
Looking for church property
*
Visiting people
*
Counseling
*
Helping develop outreach ministries from
our church
Additionally,
we’ve had dozens of families in our home
for lunch on Sunday afternoons, for
waffle-and-games night during the week,
and whenever an opportunity arises.
We’re so encouraged in all these
activities as our relationships with
church members grow! From the youth
group, to the ladies’ Bible studies, to
the men’s breakfasts, we’ve seen a
growing desire to learn, know, and apply
the Word of God. We know this is
evidence of God’s work in people’s
hearts, and are constantly encouraged by
it!
Thanks!
Thanks for being
part of our team, for your prayers and
encouragement! We are so blessed to
serve here, and cherish your prayers all
the more in these coming months!

Rachel
