GREEN LIGHT MALAWI!!!
We have great news!!!
It’s an incredible joy to tell you that God has powerfully provided on our behalf! He has dramatically removed the financial obstacle that was keeping us from beginning our service in Africa!
Just a few days ago, a single donor volunteered to bridge the 33% gap in our monthly support, bearing the burden of our monthly expenses until it is picked up by individual supporters.
One remarkable implication: if you were considering partnering with us financially, there’s still plenty of room to do so. Any support we receive from now on definitely won’t go to waste! On the contrary, future giving will free our donor to use their money to assist other new ministries.
At the same time, this also means that we are ready to leave for Malawi!
We’re very humbled at the generosity of all of you who are partnering with us: the givers, the prayers, the encouragers, everyone. We’re so thankful for God’s display of providence and grace. We have no doubt that God has sovereignly planned every step of our journey. Through it all, He has grown our faith and strengthened our confidence that Malawi is where He would have us serve in the church.
And now, we’re so excited that we have the opportunity to take the next step in this great journey - we’re moving to Malawi!
Leaving on a Jet Plane
What everyone wants to know is: When are we leaving? And the answer is: Monday, May 18th. We have a very short list of things that we need to do before we leave. All of our household goods are already in Malawi and have cleared customs - Praise the Lord! All we have with us now are the four suitcases that we’ll take on the airplane. It’ll only take us a little time to pack and wrap up loose ends, so we’ll be spending most of the time saying goodbye to family and friends!
Commissioning Service and Going-Away Party
We know our remaining days will fill up fast, but we want to share our joy in God’s faithfulness with you!
On Sunday, May 17, Grace Community Church will be commissioning us as GMI missionaries at the end of the evening service. Afterwards, two fellowship groups - Cornerstone and Foundry - will be hosting a going-away party for us on the Grace Church campus.
Please come and join us for both of these events!
Sunday, May 17, at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley
6:00pm - Commissioning during GCC evening service
7:30pm - Going-Away party on the GCC campus
Thanks!
We are so thankful for your support and encouragement! The Lord has blessed us greatly, and we know that He has answered your prayers!
As we make this move, we’ll keep the blog updated, so follow along with us as we see what the Lord has in store for us next!
